HOW MUCH IMPACT DO YOU THINK YOUR BRANDING HAS HAD ON THE SUCCESS OF TEDDY MAXIMUS?

Branding is so important, it tells the world who you are and why you exist. We are delighted that everyone recognises the Pink door (in our original shoot) as the ‘Teddy Maximus’ door.

Our logo has a little gold crown, because we are all about luxury style, using the best materials and championing British craftsmanship. For example, our Leather smith Mo, makes all our leads and collars from start to finish. We know who is making our products and how they are made.


The little dog motif is our sign of quality and distinction, he wears a little bow tie and you’ll find this across our products.

 

WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE THAT YOU WANTED TO CONVEY THROUGH YOUR BRANDING?

DID YOU IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET MARKET BEFORE YOU STARTED THE BRANDING PROCESS?

Being a dog owner to my Dachshund Teddy (or should that be the other way around!) the process felt very natural to us.


We love London life and equally enjoy an escape to the country, so creating Teddy Maximus was all about bringing to life the fun, luxury British voice of the brand. From Dachshund to Great Dane we offer something for every dog.

We are all about fun, luxury British style. Teddy Maximus champions British craftsmanship and together the elements of each collection come together to create quality and style – this was clear from the start. We love to hear from the people who buy and enjoy our products and aim
to incorporate this whenever we can.

To be authentic, develop your own distinct style and be consistent. Protect your intellectual property – there are people or brands out there who may want to copy you! We take this very seriously.


WHICH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM HAVE YOU HAD THE MOST SUCCESS ON?

We have Instagram, Twitter and Facebook they all work well for different reasons. Instagram is obviously the most visual and we enjoy telling our Instagram stories.
